"Are you hungry?"
A question my dad used to ask me all the time. He took priority in making sure his children were kept full and happy. The dishes he made were always delightful, enticing your taste buds with multiple flavors. It was no secret that he funnelled all his love and care for his family into his creations. I always remember his face gleaming with joy whenever he was in the kitchen and I am so grateful and lucky to have been able grow up in this delicious, warm, nourishing relationship for the past 21 years of my life. In January 2017 a heart attack took my dad’s life away. I want to honor this collection in his passing and express my longing desire to be reunited with him once more. I decided to create a collection of textiles that channels my longing love for him and the heavenly dishes that I crave to taste once more again.
